EB-5 Investment

EB-5 Investor-The EB-5 Visa necessitates an investment of either $1,050,000 or $800,000, with the lower amount applicable in rural or high unemployment settings, known as “targeted employment areas” or “TEA.” In exchange, the U.S. government grants the investor a green card. A total of 10,000 of these green cards are made available by the government annually.

To qualify for an EB-5 Visa, there are five main criteria:

  • Invest or be actively in the process of investing either $1,050,000 or $800,000 (the lower amount is permitted in targeted employment areas, or TEA, which include rural or high unemployment settings).
  • Demonstrate that the funds come from a legitimate source.
  • Ensure the entire investment amount is active or at risk, meaning it cannot be speculative, and there is a genuine risk of losing the capital.
  • Make the investment in a “new” or “existing business enterprise,” allowing for the creation or purchase of a business.
  • Demonstrate that the investment directly or indirectly leads to the creation or preservation of ten full-time jobs.
